Arts and Culture grants applications open with over $900,000 available

The Boulder Arts Commission will distribute $758,000 in General Operating Support Grants.

Boulder Arts Commission grant applications are now open for arts and culture funding for 2022. A total of $925,000 is ready to be distributed for community projects, arts education, operating support for organizations, professional development scholarships, venue rental assistance, and more. Organizations, artists, arts businesses, and classrooms are invited to apply. Previously funded projects range from festivals to classes, performances and exhibitions.

This year over a $1 million of funding was distributed with a focus on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the arts. One new grant addresses COVID-19 event safety, providing funds to help with the costs of providing hand sanitizer, masks, testing, checking vaccine status and more.

In 2022, the Boulder Arts Commission will distribute $758,000 in General Operating Support Grants. These grants help the organizations use the dollars for their most pressing needs unlike project-restricted funds. Remaining funding will be dedicated to community projects, arts education projects, professional development for individuals, and more.

Two information sessions will take place over the next few months to provide resources on funding.
