Boulder Police Arrest Teen in School Threat
BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department arrested an 18-year-old male today after threats were made to a city high school.
Just before 9 a.m. today, officers were notified that the suspect had made two posts to social media with threats of violence toward Fairview High School. The suspect, who does not attend Fairview, was contacted by officers at his home. Officers searched the home and collected a BB gun.
The suspect has been identified as Esteban Yegian, 18. He has been charged with misdemeanor Interfering with Staff, Faculty and/or Students of an educational institution, felony Inciting Destruction of Life or Property and misdemeanor harassment. He was booked into the Boulder County jail.
As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
