Boulder Police Looking for Witnesses in Crash That Injured Pedestrians

In observance of the winter holidays, the City of Boulder is adjusting its operations schedules.
BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Traffic Unit is investigating a crash where a car struck two pedestrians on the sidewalk this weekend.
Officers are looking for witnesses to this crash as well as other possible victims involving the same vehicle.
At approximately 12:36 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, Boulder Police were called to the area of Broadway and Regent Drive/20th Street for a report of a hit and run crash. A man driving a 2014 gray Ford Focus made a U-turn on Broadway, jumped a curb and struck two pedestrians that were walking on the sidewalk. The victims—an 18-year-old female and a 19-year-old male—were rushed to the hospital with serious bodily injuries. They’re currently in stable condition.
The driver, Jordan Michael Hemstreet (03/28/99) of California, has been charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, vehicular assault (reckless), driving a vehicle on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
Officers are also investigating whether Hemstreet was involved in a separate crash around 10:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, in the area of 15th St and Cascade Avenue where multiple parked cars were struck.
