The Boulder Reservoir swim beach closed on June 25 due to elevated levels of bacteria but has now reopened.
The Boulder Reservoir swim beach has reopened after temporary elevated levels of bacteria.
The Reservoir occasionally closes the designated swimming area, but not the boating, waterskiing, fishing or picnicking activities, due to elevated levels of bacteria.
To protect the public, staff routinely test the Reservoir's water quality. The Reservoir swim area has reopened as bacteria levels have returned to acceptable levels.
For more information and updates, call the Reservoir at 303-441-3461 or text "BPRReservoir" to 888-777 for updates related to Reservoir operations. Learn more about BPR text notifications.
