Three BoulderPark garages will undergo full closures this summer for maintenance improvements.

The City of Boulder is continuing improvements to the public parking garages in downtown Boulder this summer, which will require periodic full closures of several garages. The city’s Community Vitality Department, which includes parking and access services, is working with contractors, parking permit holders, commercial property owners, and tenants to coordinate the schedule and ensure continued public parking garage access downtown while these projects are completed.

The projects include important maintenance repairs and improvements such as power washing, re-striping, installing traffic coating and other annual maintenance items.

  • The parking garage located at 14th and Walnut streets next to the RTD Transit Center will be fully closed from Sunday, June 9 through Friday, June 28.
  • The parking garage located at 10th and Walnut streets, also known as the St Julien Garage, will be fully closed from Sunday, July 7 through Thursday, August 15. Valet service at the St Julien Hotel will remain uninterrupted during this time.
  • The parking garage located at 11th and Walnut streets, also known as the Randolph Center Garage, will be fully closed from Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Thursday, Sept. 19.

Additional city parking will remain available at the 15th and Pearl and 11th and Spruce garages throughout the summer. Other transit options include walking, biking, scootering or taking the bus. If you plan on parking in a BoulderPark garage, please ensure you have registered your vehicle with Metropolis at app.metropolis.io. You only have to register once, and then you can drive in and drive out of any city-owned downtown garage without stopping to pay. You do not need to download an app, although you may do so if you’d like to easily track your parking sessions. Parking is free in BoulderPark garages on Saturdays, Sundays and city holidays. Registering with Metropolis is not required to take advantage of free parking on these days.

Parking permit holders in impacted garages are being notified of construction and will be offered alternative parking in a nearby parking garage during the closures. Signage is being installed at the garages to alert visitors to the construction status. The city website has a construction impacts webpage that is updated weekly with the most up-to-date information. For more information, please visit BoulderParking.com or call 303-413-7300.
