Parking enforcement - regular enforcement operations and curbside parking incentives:
Regular on-street parking enforcement operations are in effect, and the grace period before receiving a citation once your time runs out is 5-minutes. To support businesses and curbside pick-up/takeout options, parkers may use the signed and designated Curbside Pick-Up Zones (see photo below) for free 10 minutes of parking time around town for free short-term parking to facilitate curbside pick-up, takeout and delivery at retailers and restaurants. The 10 minutes does not require any logging in with a parking pay station or app like ParkMobile, however, if you might possibly exceed your free 10 minutes, please use a regular parking space and pay via the station or ParkMobile. If parkers using the free 10 minutes in the special zones wish to access the additional 5-minute grace period, they must pay for a small increment of time at a pay parking station or meter to receive the grace period once the parking time has expired (the only way enforcement officers can know specifically how long a vehicle has been parked).
Parking in the city garages is the easiest way to park without knowing exactly how long your visit will be, as you pay based on time upon leaving. The parking rate is $1.25/hour for the first 4 hours, and then rises to $2.50/hour after that. Additional incentives for parking in city garages downtown are:
• $3 from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. flat rate on weekdays
• Free parking in the garages on weekends and holidays
For pressing parking concerns, please call non-emergency Police Dispatch at 303-441-3333. Overnight parking is not allowed in the garages (no parking between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. daily), and violators will be booted or towed (B.R.C. 7-7-2) and charged. Neighborhood Parking Permit zones are enforced, please be aware of the parking signage and ordinances when parking your vehicle.
The maintenance and meter technician staff on-duty schedule is Monday – Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9. p.m. Should you have a question or concern regarding Community Vitality Department maintenance operations, please call 303-413-7320.
- Improvement projects at three downtown parking garages underway:
Two exciting projects are happening in the City of Boulder's 11th and Spruce and 15th and Pearl parking garages. Both projects provide needed improvements (staircase replacements) and welcomed enhancements (solar panels / additional covered parking on the roofs). More details are available at: DowntownParkingUpdates.com Additionally, the Randolph Center Parking Garage at Broadway and Walnut is closed for maintenance projects through Sept. 1.
