Upcoming work will focus on repair and maintenance work to help improve accessibility for visitors experiencing disabilities.

Starting as early as Monday, Oct. 14, the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) will conduct trail repairs along the soft-surface South Boulder Creek Trail. OSMP is not planning to institute trail closures while repair work occurs; however, visitors may encounter intermittent delays.

During upcoming trail work, OSMP crews will focus on repair and maintenance work to help improve accessibility for visitors experiencing disabilities. The path – located next to South Boulder Creek – is one of the department’s most welcoming trails, and upcoming work will include trail surface repairs, the removal of vegetation along the trail corridor, and the installation of new retaining walls.

OSMP recognizes the importance of providing a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities for people of all abilities and encourages community members to read its trail guidebook for visitors experiencing disabilities. Visitors can also learn more about the many maintenance and improvement efforts the department is working to complete this year. OSMP also reminds visitors to visit OSMPTrails.org to view current trail and trailhead closures and consider alternate city open space destinations to visit.
