Family Found; Mother Arrested in Missing Family Case

BOULDER, Colo. – After an all-night search, the mother and missing children from Boulder have been found safe in the City of Lafayette.

At approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, officers were called to a home in North Boulder after receiving a report that Laura A. McCall, 40, and her 7-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son had abruptly disappeared. They were last heard from around 6 p.m. yesterday.

Just before 8 a.m. today, Sept. 15, Lafayette Police located the children inside their mother’s vehicle in Lafayette. The mother was located nearby a short time later also in Lafayette. After further investigation by Boulder Police and Lafayette Police departments, McCall was charged with two misdemeanor counts of child abuse. Lafayette Police transported her to the Boulder County jail. The children were reunited with their father.
