All ceremonial fires within the City of Boulder require a permit issued through Boulder Fire-Rescue.
Requirements:
- The fire must be contained in a fire pit or a ceremonial “chantico.”
- A water source must be available at all times.
- The fire will be extinguished if winds ever exceed 15 mph.
- You will not start a fire if there is a county fire ban in place, regardless of application status.
