2026 Application Period
Applications are now open. This year, rebates will be $108 for individuals and $332 for families.
Applicants are encouraged to submit an application online, find more information in the ‘How to Apply’ section below. Paper applications are available for pick up at 1101 Arapahoe Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. To request an application by mail, call 303-441-4261 or email foodtaxrebateprogram@bouldercolorado.gov.
Application forms must be received or be postmarked by June 30, 2026.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, applicants must complete an application and meet financial eligibility guidelines, have resided within Boulder city limits for the entire 2025 calendar year, and be:
- age 62 or over for the entire 2025 calendar year; or
- a person with a disability; or
- a family with children under 18 years of age in the household for the entire 2025 calendar year;
City residents who do not have permanent shelter are eligible for the refund and can meet the residency requirement by providing documentation that they are receiving services from a city-recognized homelessness services agency.
