Come learn more about new and ongoing transportation projects being implemented from the 30th and Colorado Corridors Study! Hear updates on progress to build safe connections for people walking, biking, rolling, and driving on 30th St. and Colorado Ave. near CU’s main and east campuses. Project staff will be on hand to answer questions about the projects.
Projects that will be discussed include:
- 30th and Colorado Protected Intersection and Underpass
- Currently under construction and scheduled to be completed in early 2023
- Improvements include:
- New pedestrian and bicycle underpasses
- Protected intersection elements
- Improved lighting, landscaping, and other urban design features
- 28th and Colorado Intersection Improvements Project (Regent to 30th St.)
- Construction is planned to begin in Spring 2023
- Improvements include:
- Improved crossing and protected intersection elements
- New protected raised, protected bike lanes along Colorado
- New Business Access Transit (BAT) lanes along Colorado
- 30th Street Corridor Multimodal Improvements Project (Colorado to Arapahoe)
- Construction is planned to begin in Spring 2023
- Improvements include:
- Raised, protected bike lanes
- Widened sidewalks and landscaping
- Raised crosswalks where feasible
- Enhanced bus stops
These projects were created through the 30th and Colorado Corridors Study, which used a comprehensive community engagement process to look at existing and future travel conditions in the area and developed design options to improve travel for all modes.
