Here’s some need-to-know information for the week

OSMP launching first community engagement window for the Multimodal Improvements Assessment

As a reminder, City Council was previously briefed on OSMP’s Multimodal Improvements Assessment: a systemwide effort to better understand how people access open space and to identify opportunities to improve multimodal connections across the OSMP system. The project supports Citywide Strategic Plan Action Item 7C and the OSMP Climate Action Plan.

Starting April 10, we will open the project’s first community engagement window, inviting the public to complete an online questionnaire to share how they travel to open space, what barriers they experience, and what types of improvements would be most helpful to encourage visitors to arrive to OSMP through modes other than by vehicle. Staff will also conduct intercept surveys at select trailheads throughout the month of April.

Community input gathered during this window will be combined with technical analysis to identify and prioritize potential improvements in areas such as trail connections, trailhead enhancements, and signage and wayfinding. For more information, visit the project webpage or contact Jena Van Gerwen at VangerwenJ@boudercolorado.gov.

Regards, Nuria
