No owner or operator shall allow, or offer to allow through advertisement or otherwise, occupancy of any dwelling, dwelling unit or rooming unit unless each room or group of rooms constituting the rental property has been issued a valid rental license by the city manager.
For new construction, an operator may advertise for pre-leasing for a rental of thirty days or longer, provided a complete rental licensing application has been submitted.
Any advertisement shall include the rental licensing number assigned by the city manager.
All NEW and RENEWAL rental licenses require a rental inspection for safety and require SmartRegs compliance.
All properties must be compliant with Outdoor Lighting, which can be assessed at the time of rental inspection.
