Trailhead Description

The Halfway House is an enclosed stone facility that is available by reservation for groups of up to 49 people. Learn about reserving the Halfway House. There is a small trailhead by the Halfway House. A short trail from the trailhead connects to the Flagstaff Trail.

Restrooms

Restrooms are available about 150 yards south of the Halfway House via a short trail.

Picnic Facilities

Three picnic tables are available outside the Halfway House.

Transportation

The Halfway House is located across from the Flagstaff Restaurant, about 1.2 miles up Flagstaff Road on the east side.

Parking

Small lot with a parking fee; information on parking permits & fees. The trailhead has 11 standard parking spaces and one ADA space.

Bike Regulations

No bicycles are allowed on the trails.

Dog Regulations

Flagstaff Mountain Dog Regulations

Learn about bringing your dog to OSMP. Dogs must be on a hand-held leash at all times unless they meet the voice and sight control standard and display a City of Boulder Voice and Sight tag. Dog excrement removal is required by law. A dog station is available to aid in the collection of dog excrement.

Horse Regulations

Horses are allowed on most trails. On-trail riding is encouraged to protect rare plants and wildlife habitat. Learn more about riding your horse on OSMP.

Wildlife

Mountain Lions inhabit this area. Coyotes, foxes, mule deer and raptors are commonly sighted.
