Trailhead Description

Joder Ranch Trailhead provides access to the 1.9-mile Joder Ranch Trail that takes visitors along rolling grasslands into forested foothill communities across Joder Ranch, a 335-acre expanse of city land.

Transportation

This trailhead is located west of U.S. Highway 36 opposite the north Neva access road.

Bus Connections

There is a bus stop at the Joder Ranch Trailhead on the Y from Boulder to Lyons. All OSMP trailheads have bike racks.

Parking

The trailhead has limited parking with 8 standard parking spaces and two designated spots for horse trailers.

Important Parking Warning

Parking along Olde Stage Road is not allowed. OSMP encourages out-and-back travel from the trailhead near Highway 36 only.

Dog Regulations

Joder Trailhead Area Dog Regulations Map

Guardians must leash their dog from the trailhead near U.S. Highway 36 to the Buckingham property near Olde Stage Road. Guardians who have obtained Voice and Sight Program Tags for their dogs are allowed to walk them off leash on the Buckingham property. Dog regulations signs are posted at the trailhead and where dog leash regulations shift at the Joder Ranch-Buckingham property line.

Horse Regulations

Allowed on the Joder Trail. Off-trail riding is not allowed. Learn more about riding your horse on OSMP.
