Trail Description
Fern Canyon Trail climbs gently southward, then turns west to begin an unrelenting, 1,700-foot climb to the summit of Bear Peak, which tops out at an elevation of 8,461 feet. This trail has diverse terrain and exceptional views across the plains, foothills and the Continental Divide. Take in the abundant flora and enjoy this well-shaded hike. Be sure to bring spikes October through March as it can get icy.
