Trail Description
Mallory Cave is a short trail. Part of it is only open October through March. It comes off of the Mesa Trail and NCAR Trail junction and provides bat cave habitat for the threatened Townsend’s Big-Eared Bats. The cave itself is closed year-round to protect the bats. However, you can climb and scramble up a solid rock notch to end near the cave entrance. Use caution in winter months if snow or ice are present.
