Safe Travel Information: COVID-19
The City of Boulder is currently under state's Safer at Home order. Please travel safely during this time and take precautions to protect yourself, your family and our community.
Construction and Maintenance (i.e. medians, street maintenance)
Construction and maintenance are classified as essential services. The city is committed to community safety and is proactively taking steps to keep the community and city staff safe. The city's construction and maintenance projects will continue due to several factors, including financing, contract deadlines and public need. To follow social distancing guidelines, essential city staff, including maintenance staff, are reporting to work in smaller numbers and in staggered shifts. For your safety and adherence to the stay-at-home order, do not approach construction zones or workers. Staff will be prioritizing urgent issues during this time and non-essential maintenance may experience a delayed response. We appreciate your patience and look forward to continuing to serve the community. For the latest information on the city’s response to COVID-19, visit bouldercolorado.gov/coronavirus.Find information on current construction projects and transportation detours on Cone Zones. You can also view a list of construction projects that works with a screen reader.
Safe Walking and Bicycling
If you choose to walk or ride your bicycle to access essential services such as traveling to the grocery store or pharmacy, or for exercise, please practice social distancing. Visit the state order webpage for the latest information on what is considered an essential service. Stay at a distance of six feet or more from other parties. Plan your route using this interactive tool or the 2019 Bike and Pedestrian map .
Boulder B-Cycle remains open, with staff regularly disinfecting all stations. B-Cycle is also offering 90 minutes to cruise with an annual Republic Rider pass instead of 60 minutes.
RTD, which operates all other Boulder bus routes, is operating for essential travel on a service reduction plan. Please limit time spent in stations to 10 minutes and, as often as possible, keep 6 feet between yourself and other passengers. View routes and schedules on the RTD website.
